Newlyweds- The RHOK McLinky Monday

The RHOK

If you are married (or have ever been) then you qualify for this post. If you have never been married then feel free to laugh at my post. Newlyweds are funny.

It's hard to believe that this June we will be celebrating 9 years of marriage. It seems as though we have been married for much longer than that, in a good way! I thought and I'm sure as most girls do. That when I get married we will have 2.5 kids a boy and a girl, a dog and be the all American family. Living happily ever after.

I would be the perfect wife and mother a good mix of Martha Stewart and June Cleaver. WOW!!! The first year was well, one of the hardest years of my life.

We were crazy when we got married. We built a house instead of a honeymoon, we closed on it the day before our wedding. To help Price Charming with his nerves he decided to moving his stuff into the house on our wedding day!

After our short honeymoon we were unpacking boxes. I was putting things in the linen closet. Apparently, Prince Charming did not like the way I was doing it. He told me "My Mom doesn't do it that way!" I know you are thinking what I was thinking. He did not just say that. I replied with "I'm not your Mama. You can go live with your Mama if you want it done that way! " We laugh now, but that day it was not funny.

I am very blessed to have married this man. He is my rock and best friend. He spoils me rotten. I have never worked a full-time job since we have been married. As part of me staying home. I felt it was my job to take care of him and the house. This is where Martha Stewart and June Cleaver come in to play. I would tell Prince Charming that he did not need to rinse his plate after dinner. He would still try to do it. I would get upset because he wouldn't let me take care of him. Finally he gave in. I kick my self now!! He was trained to rinse his dishes and put them in the dishwasher. I broke him of that!! He will rinse them now, but then they sit in the sink.

We were only married two or three months when we found out I was pregnant. My poor husband we weren't even use to living with each other and now I was a hormonal, emotional mess.

I remember having lots of arguments our first year. During our wedding ceremony Prince Charming sang a song to me. "If you could see what I see" by Geoff Moore. Here are the words to the song. Link so you can hear the song

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbyd5Ngr3o0

all of my life
i have dreamed
that somehow love would find me
now i can't believe you're standing here

If beauty is all
in the eye
of the beholder then i
wish you could see
the love for you that lives in me

(Chorus)
And you would know you have my heart
If you could see, what i see
that a treasure's what you are
if you could see, what i see
Created to be
the only one for me
If you could see, what i see

I know there are days
when you feel
so much less than ideal
wondering what i see in you

It's all of the light
and the grace
your belief in me drives me to say
that i promise you
a faithful love, forever true

(Chorus)

if you could see
then you'd understand
why i fall down to my knees
and i pray my love
will be worthy of
the one who gave his life
so our love could be

if you could see
what i see(x2)

You're created to be
The perfect one for me
If you could see
What i see

if beauty is all
in the eye
of the beholder then i
am beholding...
true beauty

I had never heard the song before. God used that song. I heard it on the radio all the time during our first year of marriage. Usually after a argument and I would have to go back and apologize for acting the way I did. I hardly ever hear that song on the radio any more.

I love this man more today then the day we said "I do".

The best piece of advise I got was from my Mom. She told me I was not to call her or show up on her door step when Prince Charming and I had a fight. She said you will make up and I will still be mad. I don't want to know when you all have a argument. She told me you need to figure how to work it out.

Has it been that long?!

Wow!! Were does the time go? It has been almost a year since I posted last. Guess you can tell that we have been a little busy at the 5 Jesus Freaks household. I will do my best to get you up to speed on what we have been doing the past year.

SUMMER:
We had a great summer going to the lake, Blue Hole, swimming lessons, sleeping in late. Staying up late, more swimming, and more swimming. can you tell we like to swim? I got a really nice tan.

Fall:
In August when school started all three kids went back to public school. I had home schooled for two years. I prayed about what to do for the school year. I really felt God saying that it was time for them to go back to school. The kids were excited and did really well. Cman tells me he doesn't like Kindergarten b/c they have rest time. We did find out that Gman has some ADHD and he was having a really hard time staying focused in class. He is doing well now and making all A's and B's!!

I also went back to school to get my degree in social work. The first semester I took Biology. I really don't ever want to do that again!! I walked away proud of my C. Second semester I took Elem. Statics and Macro... Stats and I get along well, and Macro well, let's just say it ranks up there with Biology.

Winter: I had my 30th birthday! My awesome Hubby, family and great friends surprised me with a party. I had a lot of fun!! Thanks for making my birthday so much fun.

Spring:
All three kiddos are playing soccer! We have practice every night but Wednesdays. Mon and Thursdays we have two practices. Saturday's are spent on the soccer field all day! They are all doing really well.

As for me God was closing doors for me to get my degree in social work. Another passion of mine is Real estate. So I am working on getting my Real Estate license. I will be working with Janet Vermillion and her group. I am excited to get started!!

Hope you enjoyed reading and I will post again soon!!
